Born in Zimbabwe’s Gweru some 30+ odd years ago, Corwin
remembers his voracious appetite for reading and writing
being awakened by his father and Form 2 English teacher. For
the latter, he wrote and dedicated his first ever published
poem. Extremely excited about human development, he has
dedicated over fifteen years to teaching the universal language
of English and Literatures in English at both high school and
university. Passionate about literature and people and the
potential intrinsic in them, he abhors suffering of any kind.
Consequently, it is one of his many life’s dreams to
substantially contribute towards making our world a better
place for all. A hard worker that is always cognizant of the
rapidly changing global environment, he holds three degrees,
three diplomas and is currently an English doctoral candidate
at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa where his
research is on the late Yvonne Vera’s work. Corwin is married
to Memory and is the father of Celeste-Esther Nolwazi.
